At Stacks in Stone, our malas are so much more than pretty pieces of jewellery. Mala beads are meditation necklaces that help you count mantras and recite affirmations. A mantra is a word, phrase or sounds repeated to quiet your mind during meditation.

Meditation is a great way to stay present, intentionally calm during life’s ups and downs.

Mala beads have been used by yogis and spiritual seekers for thousands of years, created in India 3000 years ago Malas and were used for a special style of meditation called Japa, which means “to recite”. The term “mala” is a Sanskrit word for mediation garland.
